An Overview of Our Program
Boxer Rebound acquires legal ownership of the dogs in its care from:
Animal Shelters/Humane SocietiesThese include boxers picked up as strays, confiscated for abuse/neglect, and voluntary owner surrenders. Boxer Rebound frequently pays an adoption fee for these dogs.
Veterinarians
An extensive network of veterinarians will contact Boxer Rebound in the event they acquire a boxer that needs placement.
Owner Surrenders
Owners who wish to surrender their boxers directly to us are first encouraged to contact the breeder of the dog. If the breeder refuses to take it or is not known, Boxer Rebound will accept the dog and the owners are asked for a donation. Whenever possible, we ask that the dogs registration papers accompany it.
When space is limited, priority is given to those boxers whose current situations place them in jeopardy.
Transportation is usually the responsibility of the owner.

New Arrivals
On arrival at our facility,
all boxers are carefully evaluated as to
general condition, (left) and temperament (right). Obvious physical injuries/ailments are
noted and documented.
The rehabilitation process begins immediately.
